The methodological focus of the laboratory is the epigenetic characterization of DNA samples. For the analysis of methylation patterns in the promoter region of certain genes, bisulfite sequencing has been mainly used in the last 10 years. Currently, nanopore sequencing has been established in our laboratory to investigate larger DNA regions by Cas9-mediated enrichment. If aberrant methylation patterns are detected in a clinical picture, the functional relevance or the effect on expression level is verified by real-time PCR, Western blot, ELISA and further gene expression analyses and correlated with the psychometric data.

The light-filled foyer is versatile, – an ideal place for networking – and our catering area offers plenty of space for culinary interruptions.

Our foyer is divided into different levels.

Whoever enters the central building of the Medical Park stands in the lower foyer, which extends over 250m². There you will find access to seminar rooms 02 and 03, the elevator and the cafeteria area.

The upper foyer extends over 80m² and is ideal for reception situations. It is the center of the building and from there you can reach the seminar rooms, the lecture hall and office space on the 1st floor.

Seminar room 02 has a total size of 54.5 m². Depending on table formation and seating, up to 20 people can fit in the room. Due to its proximity to the catering area, this room is also particularly popular as a kind of backstage room for catering or service staff.

Seminar room 03 has a size of 46.5 m². These can comfortably accommodate up to 15 people. The room has a direct way to the outside and is therefore particularly attractive for training or small events in the summer months.

Seminar room 05 extends over 77.5 m². Depending on the type of seating and table formation, it can accommodate up to 50 people. However, the use of the room is particularly suitable for a group size of up to 25 participants.

Seminar room 06 extends over 77.5 m². This room is ideal for training sessions with up to 20 people, where catering situations are included. The room can be ideally divided into a training area and a catering area.

Seminar room 07 is the smallest of our rooms and has a room size of 19m². It is particularly suitable for consulting situations or as a separate meeting room to other booked seminar rooms.

Seminar room 11 has a room size of 38.3m², which can comfortably accommodate 10 – 15 people. It is ideal as a meeting or training room.

The lecture hall offers the ideal setting in a pleasant ambience for your event. It can accommodate up to 145 people on 244m² to follow your lecture situation in a stylish ambience. The plenum is ideally shaped so that from every seat there is an ideal view of three screens, which can be played simultaneously by three beamers.
